Cardiovascular Sonographers perform cardiovascular ultrasound studies as ordered by physicians for their patients and assist the physician in gathering sonographic data necessary to diagnose a variety of conditions and diseases.

Where Will I Be Able to Work? 

As a graduate, you will be prepared to perform ultrasound procedures in clinics, hospitals, and offices specializing in cardiovascular health, diagnostic imaging, and acute or long-term care facilities.

What Skills Will I Develop?

As a graduate, you will have learned to perform ultrasound procedures, including how to produce and prepare images, and transfer them into files, video, or computer systems for interpretation, as well as be able to demonstrate clinical proficiency in sonographic procedures, and exhibit behavioral skills that reflect professionalism, effective communication, as well as time management skills.

Graduates of IBT’s Cardiovascular AOS degree program will receive their Associate of Occupational Studies, Cardiovascular Sonography degree.
